FINNEGANS WAKE

Provisionally, is being built only in English.

How many legs does this elephant has ? Can you read that book ? Perhaps you should try it before anything else. Go directly to Page 1 of Finnegans Wake

Better yet, go directly to conclusions. If you prefer to browse a little on the subject, before tackling it, let's do it.

Harry Levin, right after the book was released made this comparison with the Aesop's fable and it will remain valid forever, as it can be seen in James S.Atherton's book. It pays the visit to his entry to the Encyclopaedia Britannica about Joyce, specially what he says about Finnegans, which is highlighted in red there and it is the best attempt to my knowledge to grasp the book in a few words.

This comparison is perfect when we have in mind the elephant at left, because it was done with its image the same as Joyce did when elaborating the format of Finnegans: even if we know it is an elephant, we cannot see how many legs it has ...
This paper will discuss this book of Joyce under this perspective. That is, with "blind" visions and attempts to see.
The architecture and the implementation itself is a reflection of the mental approach applied by James Joyce that can also be understood by examining other paper on which the same design was applied.
This other paper is about Ulysses, under McLuhan's approach and was done before this one on Finnegans.
In Ulysses the impression made on myself led me to think that the key issue was the "media" and therefore I have relied on Marshall McLuhan to unravel the case and understand what it was all about.
As I approached Finnegans subsequently I continued to use the tools that McLuhan offers, but the impression was that the problem is in the mental approach, more than anything else.
The best thing to do now is to check for yourself and come back, or maybe after here, go there. This work on Ulysses is not finished, has many flaws, and should be read more as a project.
I take this opportunity to request cooperation from any person who feels that there are things that could be improved or where I was mistaken, I failed, I was wrong, i.e. anything that can better address the issue or improve this job.
My email to communicate me about this is camposre001@gmail.com. To access the Ulysses, press and use this other email for this purpose: camposre00152@gmail.com and the password is Ulysses
